Offshore Circuit Racing (OCR) is a recognised offshore powerboat category administered by the RYA, Britain's National authority for watersports.The sport combines the seamanship of offshore powerboat racing with the multi-lap infighting of inshore circuit racing.
The sport consists of 2 classes at present which are B class- minimum of 16 feet in length,weighing no less than 400kg and with engine sizes of 1350cc 2stroke 0r 1600cc 4stroke(approx 90hp) and the
1.8litre-A class minimum of 18 feet in length and weighing no less than 525kgs with engine sizes of up to 1850cc 2 stroke or 2200cc 4 stroke (approx 140hp)
OCR is often said to be "To the world of offshore powerboat racing what saloon car racing is to motorsport". Our events run from May to October every year, with our National finals in Torquay alongside ORDA in 2007!
